If you are claiming through your health insurance, they may require you to have a GP referral prior to authorising your consultation and treatment. An insurer authorisation number will be required before you book your appointment. The prices listed below are guide prices for self-pay packages. These are estimates only. What is Included? Self-pay packages typically include:
Hospital accommodation and nursing care.
Operating theatre fees, drugs, and dressings.
Prosthesis (implants) where applicable.
Surgeon and Anaesthetist fees for the procedure.
In-patient physiotherapy.
Standard post-operative follow-up appointment.
What is Excluded? Unless otherwise stated in your quote, the package price does not include:
Initial Consultation: The new patient assessment fee (£225) is payable separately.
Diagnostic Tests: Pre-operative scans (MRI/X-Ray) and blood tests are billed separately by the hospital.
Take-Home Prescriptions: Medication prescribed upon discharge.
Insured Patients Mr Abram is a fee-assured consultant for major insurers (including BUPA, AXA, Aviva, WPA, Vitality).
Codes: The CCSD codes listed above are for reference. Please provide these to your insurer to authorise treatment.
Shortfalls: While Mr Abram charges within standard insurance fee schedules, patients are responsible for any policy excesses or limits on their specific plan. We recommend confirming full cover with your provider prior to surgery.
